A little history . . . Florence Alliance Church was founded in 1988 with a home fellowship of only eight people. Growing steadily, we first rented facilities and then acquired property on Cayton Road. 1994 saw the completion of our first building.
The most recent building addition, in 2003, brought our facility to the point where we offer a 200-seat sanctuary, classrooms, a fellowship hall with kitchen facilities, and a playground.
More importantly, there’s always something going on in our congregation – opportunities to worship, learn, grow, and fellowship.
Our Purpose
Is to worship God, bring people to Christ, incorporate believers into the community of faith, build one another up into Christ-likeness, equip believers for service, and together bring others to Christ, here and around the world.
Our Ministry
The goal of our ministry is to produce Spirit-filled believers who reflect both the character and priorities of Christ.
We win seekers to Christ through personal witness, relevant outreach events, and service to our community.
We build believers through one-to-one discipleship, Christian education, small groups, and men’s and women’s ministries, and a variety of children’s ministries.
We equip our members to share their faith and demonstrate the love of God in tangible ways through training classes.
We develop leaders through training and practical experience.

Our Commission
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Our Affiliation
The Christian and Missionary Alliance is an alliance of believers, joined together in local churches, committed to fulfilling the Great Commission given by our Lord Jesus Christ. Matthew 28:19 & 20 instruct us, “Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”
We are Christian because we believe and follow Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. We are missionary because we are committed to reaching unreached people with the good news of Jesus Christ.
Since our beginning in 1887, the Alliance has grown a worldwide constituency of over 6.2 million including the United States and Canada. We have ministries in 88 countries and territories around the world.
